Good Morning! My name is Bob.
Welcome to the wonderful world of glass hammer manufacturing! Some would say that this is a thankless and impossibly hard job to do, trying to get a glass hammer hard enough to thwack something but we manage (well most of the time, there's a high break rate for some reason).
<<set $score to 0>>
I'm afraid we've lost some of your details and they got mixed up with two other applicants, could you please confirm your name and a few other details as well?
Is it [[Ahmed|Experience][$score = -70]]..?
Is it [[David|Experience][$score = 100]]..?
Is it [[Zubaida|Experience][$score = -80]]..?
<<if $score < 90>>
I see. Sorry you're just not quite what we are looking for.
<<elseif $score > 95>>
Finally! Just waiting for your info to pop up.
Right there we go.

The Job Interview. We've all been through it.
I wanted to share an experience some people may have whilst looking for a job; the endless applications and CV sending can be brutal on our egos! I thought in the safe confines of a game we can explore how it feels to be someone else searching for that dream job and what better way to experience this than via a game.

Now what would you say your level of experience is when it comes to hammering glass? I recall the word [[Apprentice|Education][$score += 10]] being bounded about on your application?
Wait, a [[Novice|Education][$score += 20]]! Was it? Oh dammit, you're a [[Professional|Education][$score += 30]] aren't you?
I'm thinking about school, being late for class, homework dodging and trying to explain to Ms Macintyre that Romeo cape was a cry for help and Juliet answered. She never did quite except that rational.
Oh did you say you were at [[college|Personality][$score += 10]]?
Maybe you had a [[degree in glass making?|Personality][$score += 20]]. Ok I got it, it was the [[school of life|Personality][$score += 30]]
Finally! The most important question that has been running around in my mind, are you sociopath? Hahaha no wait we're not allowed to ask that, forget I ask.
Now I'm going to give you scenario, please answer as truthfully as you wish. You are sitting on a park bench, watching the world go by, you notice some children playing football. One of the children sends the ball flying your way, you deftly avoid but you spill coffee over your lovely white shirt, it's ruined beyond repair not even your favourite detergent ‘Daz’ would clean it up.
1) You very [[kindly|Results][$score += 10]] return the ball.
3) You launch that ball into the conveniently placed [[lake|Results][$score += 20]] behind you.
3) You give them a swift lecture on the dangers of spherical objects not being pumped to the right air consistency, which could cause [[injury|Results][$score += 30]]. Bit weird I know but it happened to me once.

Sorry you're just not quite what we are looking for. Your score was: $score

Finally! Just waiting for your information to pop up on screen, we'll get you in for that pesky face to face interview. Your score was: $score
Do you want to know [[why|https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/jan/17/minority-ethnic-britons-face-shocking-job-discrimination]] your score is the way it is?
After you've had a glance through that, maybe you want to know all about [[me|Me]] and not just my name.Sometimes your name really does define what you can achieve, even in this day and age.
I was born in Nottingham (UK) to lovely parents who wanted nothing more than for me to be handsome doctor. Instead, I chose the inconsistent, frantic world of a game developer. Try explaining that to Asian parents!
I love to watch my favourite football team Napoli play, though a special place still remains for Nottingham Forrest. I laugh with and love all my friends and family; Claire, Sophia, DW, Asad, Sally, Ben, Jagdeep and Lleah to name but a few.
I'm trying to get over my fear of water (as a former surfer, it's a sticking point haha!) I know, I know, we're on an island but in my defence, you only know it's an island if you’re looking at it from the sea!
What I'm trying to get at is and my advice to anyone is, if you have the power to look past a person's name, especially on something as important as a premilary job application (not even an interview!), you'd be surprised to find how much you have in common. It's the small details in life.
Thanks for playing.
Which reality would you like to play in..?
